Roleplay-ing

Lacy laid helplessly on the uncomfortable lumpy matress in the hospital room. Her entire body felt numb, her head was aching and her stomach was grumbling noisely in the quiet room. Her eyes darted across the room, hearing Marlene's voice enter the room,"You are saying...she has bulimia?"

Lacy's eyes went wide and alarmed, as she thought about her new secret coming out too the surface. This was something she's been struggling with since 16, not because she was envious of other women's bodies, only that she hated her own oftenly. She wanted too lie, cry then scream out her frustrations on Marlene. She had hated her own body but more often she had noticed Marlene for the past two years, slowly becoming her mentor who advised for her too be skinnier when she was a teenager. At 16, she didn't believe it too be a big deal but when her mother's words were soothing and comforting as she praised her weight and her father's less complaints on how much her jeans would cost and how Marlene suggested it. How Marlene suggested it. She kept thinking that thought over and over and felt anger surged through her, boiling in her throat. They were all okay with her losing weight, now it's a big deal? She stared angrily at the door before she shook it away quickly, swallowed her anger then, and let it coarse through her and leaned back. 

"The press cannot know about this. This would be too devasting for her," Marlene had whispered before she asked too come inside the room. The doctor nodded slowly before she looked at Celia first,"You may go first,"

"I'm her aunt!" Marlene opposed,her brows furrowed. The doctor didn't look away from Celia and ignored Marlene, she waved Celia too go inside first.

Lucas sat bitterly and anixiously in the hospital waiting room. They believed that Matty had a fractured rib which would take awhile too heal. But ever since, no one has came out back to the waiting room after that. He was worried sick about him and he felt as if he could puke. 

Celia nodded slowly, opening the door into Lacy's room and going to sit by her bed. "Hey..." She said quietly, reaching for Lacy's hand. "Everything is okay, you know. I'm not mad. Marlene is. But forget about it. It's okay." She tried to comfort her, becoming obviously flustered and confused as she tried.

A doctor left Matty alone, as his right side of his ribcage was wrapped and his arm in a sling because of a broken collarbone. "I want to see the boy out in the waiting room. it's my boyfriend." He demanded, as the doctor nodded and left the room. He walked out to the waiting room, and saw Lucas sitting there. "The boyfriend of Mr.Quiso is being requested in his room." He said bitterly, not waiting to see if Lucas was following him back to Matty's room.

"I'm here for whatever you need, okay?" Celia said, resting her head on the bed near Lacy. "A little setback..that's it.." she said, closing her eyes slightly and lulling into a very light sleep.

Matty rolled his eyes. "Shitty." He muttered, patting the bed with his not injured side. "'mere Lucas." He said, rubbing his forehead. He injured himself terribly because he still loved Lucas and knew that he needed to protect him. But to form that into a corherent sentence to tell Lucas why all of this happened was going to be hard.

"Come here doofus." Matty said, sticking his hand out. "I'll take this bad of a beating any day for you." He said, sighing. "I'll be okay, really." He added, resting his hand on his stomach. 

"It's not your fault, if that's what you're thinking." Matty said, sighing. "It really isn't that bad. Don't worry. Have you called Delvin to tell him where you are?" He looped his good arm over Lucas's shoulder.

"Maybe something happened..." Matty suggested. "You should check on him. It's your fiancee after all. I'll be here. No big deal. Go ahead and go see him. " He said with a small smile.

Matty nodded, looking at the blank wall next to him. He let his mind wander; what would happen if Delvin and Lucas miraculously broke up? Would Lucas take Matty back? Or would they just be friends? We didn't want to think about the latter.

1 DAY LATER

Celia woke up to a doctor's voice. She had no recollection of where she was, except her neck was really sore. She sat up to see Lacy talking to a doctor with Marlene standing behind him. She stayed quiet and nodded after the doctor and Marlene left for Lacy to talk to her. "What's going on?" She asked, rubbing her sore neck.

Matty sat in his wheelchair, waiting for someone to come wheel him out becaus ehe only had one able hand. When he saw Lucas walking towards the door of his room, he smiled widely. He would be here though, seeing as he also needed a ride home.

"I am getting sent to Pasendena Rehab Center," Lacy was clearly upset but was hiding behind it."The press is going to know...they are going to know everything," She bit her lip then waved her hands as she spoke,"But I have to tell another lie that I'm visiting..someone there when really...I have to go there." She looked at Celia.

Lucas leaned on the door, as the doctor told him the special instructions of how he needed rest and not lift heavy things. He listened halfheartedly but he was really staring at Matty with a smile. He was happy that he was able to leave the next day. He grabbed the handles of the wheelchair, wheeling him towards the door,"And how are you feeling Mr. Quiso?" He smugly said.

"I'm sorry.You can say you're visiting me or something. I want to make this easier for you." Celia tried to help. "I don't want you to have to suffer." She whispered, scooting closer to Lacy's bed. "Tell me what to do. i can help. I will help."

Matty smirked. "I'm feeling just fan-fucking-tastic. Just peachy, doc." He said, rolling his eyes. "Let's go Lucas." He said, looking up at him as Lucas wheeled him out of the hospital.

"I can do that." Celia said with a small smile.

Matty reached into his pocket and handed Lucas his keys. "I think we should go get some real food. I'm sick of this crap I had here." He said with a grimace and a laugh.
