Lacy nodded slightly with a smirk,"See ya." She turned on her heel, heading to the passenger side of the car. She slid in the seat and Jacob had a wide grin and his eye brow raised, Lacy started laughing hysterically as he drove away.

"I'm sorry too," He sighed inwardly a second later. He walked awkwardly and hesitantily in the living room of the apartment, which held too many dear memories it felt as if he was about to surrender too it all again when he crossed paths into the kitchen. He was standing a few inches away from Matty. He leaned against the counter and stared at Matty, who was faced the other way. "Do you own that record store?" He asked quietly.

"Yeah I do...haven't seen you in there before though." Marty said, getting cups down for tea. "What made you go there today?" He asked, leaning against the counter next to Lucas, his hand brushing over Lucas's briefly.

Celia walked into he record shop and wondering around for a few minutes before finding the one she wanted. Snatching it up quickly, she walked to th  front of the store to pay. "Thanks." She said, walking out of the shop with her newest possession in hand.

"Well, it's famous. It was in an ad on MSN, the other day. And also, at E News station, it's a pretty big thing." He slid his hand towards him slowly when Matty's hand brushed his briefly. He straightened his posture, cleared his throat,"And so, I've been dying to check it out. My only day off in about three weeks."

Lacy was giggly and excited as she headed back to the villa luxrious mansion. Jacob and her talked about Celia the entire ride home. She was telling her everything and in a fast tone while he talked about his boyfriend Mark. It was a fucked up complicated situation, that they weren't just ready to admit yet but they were okay. They were best friends. It only made things weird when they kissed for the camereas, holding hands walking down the street or the complete faking attraction thing. Luckily, it was the set up between them so they would never be paired with another actor.

"Interesting." Marty said, turning away to go get the tea. "It was a risk, opening the shop. Glad I took it." He said quietly, pouring the tea and handing a cup to Lucas. "I watch you on E a lot. You've made a name for yourself."

Going back to her apartment, Celia tossed the vinyl on the couch. Groaning, she ran her hands through her hair. Lacy wouldn't leave her mind. Granted, they met only an hour ago. But she was gorgeous. And she wanted to know more about her.

"Yeah, I mean.." He stammered on his words and he shrugged lightly,"Eh somewhat. I am assitant but sometimes, I do some of the," He perfected his posture and words simply by acting and said,"You are now watching E News, and I point." He laughed humorlessly,"I am really not that big yet. I have to become a writer...there's so much to do." He looked at him with a proud gleam in his eye and he blushed, laughed, and shook his head,"I really am going to be a host one day. Swear to god."

Lacy wasn't the type for relationships, except once, but it lasted a year and it was overly complicated when it didn't have too be. As soon as he pulled into the driveway, Marlene and her parents ushered inside because of the paprazzi. Jacob followed behind quickly and frustratingly.

"I really believe you, I do." Matty said, smiling at Lucas blushing. He wished he could just kiss his cheeks like he used to when Lucas blushed, which made Matty blush himself. No. Lucas has a boyfriend. He couldn't be thinking about Lucas like that, could he?

Celia turned on her tv to see TMZ on, right in front of Lacy's house. That's why she was happy she wasn't super famous yet. No paps waited for her to get home. She wasn't bothered. But she honestly felt bad for Lacy, as she had virtually no privacy.

Lucas smiled gently and stared at his own feet. "So..." He said lightly and nervously,"What have you been up too?"

Lacy had glanced at the TMZ camera crew, did a couple of poses before they started to ask personal questions about a girl named Jenny. "Who is Jenny, Lacy?"

Lacy''s smiled diminished quickly and her eyes narrowed. The cruelest face appeared for a breif moment along with her mother beside her before she apolgized charmingly,"I am sorry, I...I was thinking. I-I don't know, she sounds familar.'

Marlene ushed in her ear to move along but it didn't work.

Her name stuck like a knife in the back and she smiled timidly before waving lightly and being ushered away in front of the house. "Lacy! Lacy! One more big smile, oh c'mon!" The TMZ reporter yelled out and she continued hurrying up the long steep steps before turning slightly to face them. She grinned before Jacob lead her inside.

"Running the record shop since you left. Trying to keep myself busy...but the alcohol doesn't help everything, you know?" Matty said, sighing. "Want to go in the living room? It'll be eaier to talk there." He suggested, downing his cup of tea, even though it was scalding hot.

--

Celia covered her mouth as a reporter tried to get near Lacy. They obviously struck a nerve when someone asked about a girl towards her. Clicking the TV off, Celia grabbed her record and went to put it on and start a shower.

"You are still..." He shook his head slowly with a sad smile appear on his face, and a small oh escaped from his lips. He picked up his cup of tea, strolling out of the room onto the couch. Like old times, he propped his feet on the coffee table and set his tea on the end table. He looked at him shockingly,"Oh my ...bad, my apolgies, that's rude of me.' He cleared his throat.

"No...it's fine..." Matty said with a small smile, sitting next to Lucas on the couch. "Tell me what's been happening. I don't know anything that's going on with you." He said simply, grasping Lucas's hands in his. Then he quickly droppped them, realizing what he was doing. "Sorry..." He stammered out.

Lucas snapped his hand away, knowing he should react that way, although it's been too long without his touch. He almost craved and was eager for him too take his hand that way again but forced it back and smiled slightly,"Well uh...Well. After we ya know...I got kicked out of my house. I lived on the streets for a month by Gordon's diner, in west hollywood..which was pretty terrifying but the guy eventually let me stay with him." He remembered the promised mansion, which really was only an apartment that was never furnished and it was an apartment that was used for drug deals. If he agreed, he was able to live there and let them sell drugs but not being able to tell anyone. He also remembered how he met Delvin, who was too high on meth and was a complete mess who wanted to stop it all, but unsure how. Delvin was straight, but when they met, and a few weeks after that something changed. They become friends with benefits, the benefits? Acting like Delvin's boyfriend, no sex. He didn't mind it at all, because he liked that for awhile and he guided Delvin to a better path, who is still drug free. He was suddenly reminded of Delvin's good qualities then and he slightly shrugged realizing he hadn't spoken yet,"I met Delvin at the place I was staying at. He was huge complete fucking homophobic prick when I met him, but, he was going through some things and I helped him. And then, after a couple of months, we got really serious and he asked me to move in and so we moved to east hollywood and," He shrugged again,"I got the job two days later, and yeah." He ended awkwardly

"Well...after everything that went down, I went to a party one night. And the alcohol was great. Fantastic actually." Matty started. Then he continued on to tell Lucas that he started to fall behind on his rent. After hearing about a shop that was for sale, he took the risk of buying it, turning it into his favorite place. A record shop. He continously got support for it from the community, so he no longer was behind in rent and was living a good life. Besides the fact he got into trouble with alcohol and drugs often, which was because of Lucas, he was fine. "And then you came back. Oh man...but Delvin sounds like a great guy, Lucas. I'm happy for you." He said, with a slight edge to his voice. Jealousy.

Lucas stared at Matty suspiciously when he was finished and said,"Two things. I feel like you are putting it back on me that you are the one who picked up the alcohol. Don't put that on me. That's more then a burden when you said that. That was your choice to pick up the alcohol and the drugs. No one elses." He paused sharply,"Two, Yeah...I honestly see myself marrying Delvin," He sighed and shrugged,"But who knows? I don't know how he feels long term but then again, we did move in together." He didn't catch up on the edge in his voice so he continued anyways,"But as pathetic as it sounds, I was in a bad place and he was too. We saved each other honestly." He looked at Matty with a sad gleam in his eye. "Made me forget everything and everyone, I was...high, on life." He laughed slightly,"He changed my life for the better."

"I'm not trying to put it on you. I was simply stating that's what happened." Matty said. "Yeah, well we moved in together and see where that got you." He mutered under his breath. "That good that you're better. I'm happy for you. And Delvin seems like a good guy for you." Matty said, taking his shoes off and tossing them towards the hallway. "What does Delvin do?" He asked simply.

Lucas's eyes narrowed before he stood up. "You are completley right. It got us no where for a reason." He crossed his arms,"Just like this whole talk is getting us no where. You deseve answers but I really don't even know if I want to give it." He paused,"Yeah I'm happy. But....he doesn't even know that I'm here." He paused sharply,"I should go." He turned on his heel and headed towards the door.

Matty shook his head. "Lucas!" He called after him. Racing towards him, he caught Lucasbefore he left. "Can we please go out soon? As friends. I would like to just talk. Obviously as being here isn't working for either of us, would you like to go out for dinner or something just to talk? No jokes." He said seriously.

Lucas slowly looked down then at him and sighed. He dropped his arm back to his side when Matty had grabbed his hand too stop him for leaving. There was a reason Lucas was here, to give Matty answers but this aparmtent held too many memories for the both of them. It was suffocating him and he wanted to have Matty in his life again, not sure about dating again, but at least he could be in his life again. The corners of his lips tilted upwards into a small smile,"We have to go somewhere we haven't been before. Something entirley knew for the both of us. You pick the restaurant?"

Matty instantly smiled. "Of course. How does later tonight sound? I could always text you the restaurant." He said, looking down and twisting his toe into the ground. He was sheepish about asking Lucas for his number, as he had gotten many a new phones, and the number got lost somewhere along the way.

Lucas saw how he acted and remembered instantly the first time he kissed, which was the first way Lucas even expressed he had feelings for him was when he kissed Matty. He smiled lightly,"I actually don't know. It's suppose to be date night with Delvin..." He paused,"I could give you my number though so in case...you know," He cleared his throat,"Plans change?"

Matty nodded, still looking at the ground. Not that he was expecting to get Lucas back at the drop of a hat, but he was still hoping they could have a night like old times. Just them two, out for a dinner. Not a care in the world. Grabbing his phone out of his leather jacket pocket, he handed it to Lucas. "I'll see you later then?" He asked, looking up at him and smiling sadly.
