Roleplay-ing

Derek leaned forward after taking a long sip of his ice cool water. "I'll have you know I learned to juggle when I was six. I think," he looked over at the man who continued juggling the fire. "I think the liquid they poored on the balls prevents burning your flesh. Like a type of fake fire.. at least thats my guess. It felt warm when I held them but they weren't hot like a normal fire is. Very sneak of them if you ask me." He cocked a little smile towards Elena as he watched the light fligh up and free fall back towards the man handling them.

She was almost to the hotel's front doors when she noticed something shimmering. A glit of light danced across her face and she turned towards the direction it semed to be coming from. Curiousity got the best of her and she started after it. She wondered off the side walk after a few blocks and fumbled across the white sanded beach. Feeling bubbly and suddenly extatic, Sophie giggled as she walked through the little waves lapping at the beach. She knew better then to go out into the water, but she enjoyed getting chased by the cool waves.

"Well of course I was scared at first," Derek laughed lightly. "I didn't realize until he lit it and I threw it into the air." He couldn't help but smile at her obvious excitment at the thought of it all. Leaning back in his chair he continued to sip on his cool drink and watch all the different entertainers moving across the sand before them.

Sophie didn't notice the whistle being directed towards her, as it was to far off to seem significant to herself. She ran across the beach towards the light house. Eyes turning into saucers as she watched the light spin around and around. Letting out a fit of giggles she fell back into the sand, feet dangling on the edge of the water, looking up at the star filled sky. "So beautiful," she sighed softly to herself.

"It's OK," he smiled happily. "It was kinda cool. Scary, but cool." Derek stood up and stretched, looked over the water at the beautiful sunset. "I best be heading in. I scheduled a tour around the Big Island early in the morning."

Sophie felt her eyes slowly drifting shut as the soft swoosh of the waves lulled her to sleep. Further off into the distance she could hear the soft beat of the luhu music, flickers of laughter sweetening the unity of sound ever more. She could feel her body relaxing as the first day of vacation came to a close. Yes, these were the moments she enjoyed the most.

OOC: He said something because I wanted to put more then one line on that post lmoa.

Derek walked into his room shuffling over to the bed. All the lights were off and he didn't bother flipping them on because he could feel sleep pulling at him. He didn't even bother pulling the sheets back. As soon as his head hit the soft sheets he was out.

A few hours went by and Sophie woke up from the feel of cold water lapping up over her legs. Still, her skin was warm to the touch and she felt completely rested. Standing up the floor started to suddenly turn dramatically. She moved back and forth trying to get good footing before falling face first into the sand once more. Closing her eyes, she waited for it to slow down before trying to get up again.

A low groan filled the space around Derek, slowly he opened his eyes to see the dark night sky from the wide window to the right of him. He rubbed his heavy eyelids, standing up he worked his clothes off as he made his way to the shower. Cleaning off all the sand, sweat, and fruit juice from his body. Walking out of the small bathroom he dryed himself off and changed into his pajamas before climbing back into bed. This time pulling the blanket and sheets over top of him. Letting the soft fabic and gentle sound of the sea lull him back to sleep.

Sophie carefully made her way across the beach, the world slowing down a bit making it easier to walk. The night was silented by a blanket  of sleep, and not a soul moved through the streets anymore. Running her hand along the buildings as she moved down the sidewalk. Suddenly a loud shrill shriek filled the air. Sophie stopped eyes wide and ears perked in anticipation. She scanned the area in hopes to see what the cause of it was.

Derek was a deep sleeper, and though he heard the scream it didn't wake him. His dreams consisted of the everything that happened the night before, right up to when he threw the flaming ball up into the air. Then there was a shrill shriek of fear consumed him and instead of catching the ball it feel to the sand at his feet. He looked around, nothing seeming out of the ordinary, his eyes feel upon the girl he'd talked to previously. Only her face was stone cold, she looked almost... dead... a chill ran up his spine.

Sophie spotted shadowy movements off in the distance and for a moment she thought her eyes were playing tricks on her. A young woman about the age of 20 was running down the street towards her with a terrified look on her face. Her face red and sweat running down her face. She came to a stop right in front of Sophie and grabbed her shoulders. “It's coming! Warn everyone! Don't stop just run!” And she took off further into the streets screaming and yelling the warning for everyone to hear. Sophie turned back in the direction the woman had come from and squinted her eyes. What does she mean it's coming? I don't see anything..

Derek was still fast asleep as trouble continued to brew outside.

After a few moments Sophie was about to head back towards the hotel. Chalking all the screaming up to a late night of heavy drinking. But then, she heard some shuffling. Tilting her head to the side, she carefully watched from a distance, as a dark figure slowly made its way up the hill. “Sir?” She decided to find out if he saw anything odd that would explain the previous woman’s panic. “Excuse me sir? Is everything alright?” He didn't make a sound as he continued his slow steps towards her.

Sophie took a step forward, wondering if he was hurt or maybe older and couldn't hear as well. The light of the moon peeked through the clouds momenterily, showing Sophie the mans rotten face. White foam dripped down his mouth and off his chin, eyes distant, skin tone on off greenis blue tint to it. A gust of wind blew directly into her face, flooding her nostrals with the deathly smell seeping from the mans pores. She gaged a little slowly backing up as he procressed towards her. Oh dear god!

She shook her head as she was pulled backwards. "I.. I don't understand," Sophie spoke softly. Her head was spinning and she felt drunk all over again. Stumbling over her feet as she turned to face away from him and follow after the guy she had seen at the bar last night.

"He.. he looked like a walking corps.." Sophie chocked out. Shaken as she slowly sat down on the bed behind her. She looked up to meet Elena's eyes, and then slowly shifted to look at Theo. "How can that even be?"
