This was supposed to be a vacation. To get away from home and have some fun, not worry about the stress of today and tomorrow-- only to party and play. Except, the vacation didn't turn out that way.
The vacation was going great. There was parties on the beach, and laughter lit by the bonfire. Until someone screamed, viciously attacked by someone who seemed to be- well, unwell. Turns out, the zombie Apocolypse hit the world. Cities fell, countries collapsed. Stories were raided and there's the danger of getting infected. Now the world is every man for themselves. Who can survive? And who will end up dead? And will this ever end?

Name: Theo Ryder Age: 26 History: Theo grew up a pretty normal life, with a nice family and nice house. Grew up with two brothers, top of his class and played soccer in his high school years. He went off to college, and now he's here with some mates to have a nice break partying. Personality: Though he is mostly playful, he has moments where he turns very serious. He's protective and cares about his friends; he'd do anything to keep them safe.
Name: Elena Smith Age: 22 History: Elena grew up in a house with only her father, and his occasional girlfriends. Her childhood wasn't always the best. Elena moved out on her eighteenth birthday into her boyfriend of the times flat-- not because she hated her father, but because she had to get out of the stuffy house. The relationship ended badly soon after, and Elena had to move into her friends house. Elena- by some luck, got a job in modeling along with her waitressing job. Her friends pulled up a surprise for her by offering her a trip to this vacation spot. Personality: Elena is very carefree and playful, often seen partying. Though, when something scares her, she gets scared. (Gah, I suck at histories and personalities!)

You know.. that bitch you just wish you had the nerve to walk up to and punch right in the face.. breaking her nose and wipe off the smug smile on her face. Yeah that was her. Theo couldn't have been happier when the plane landed. God, he hated planes-- well, not planes, but just the thought of the airplane dropping. When they had safely landed, he breathed out a happy sigh. Then clicked off his seat belt and stood, stretching his sore legs. His friends were cheering now that they were finally where they wanted to be, talking about all the chicks they were going to get and slapping each other on the back. Theodore rolled his eyes in amusement. Elena clicked off her seatbelt and stood, waiting patiently for the people to file out of the single person line of the plane; giving a longing look out the window. She needed this break. When the trickle of people became few, she stepped out into the aisle and reached to get her bag. Only to be helped by a mysterious hand grabbing the bag and handing it down to her. Turning to meet the culprit, she was met by a smile. "Saw you needed help," Theo said, before continuing down the way and out of the plane. Elly called her thanks, and made her way out of the plane, taking a deep breath of the sea-salt filled air.

___________________________________________________ Derek stood up stretching from the long ride on the plane. His seat was in the far back and he was forced to wait until everyone else left before he could. As he stretched it seemed like every part of his body cracked in union. Finally he had enough room to reach up into the over-head department and pull out his carry-on bag. Once he head everything he stepped into the isle and slowly shuffled off the plane. The fresh breeze hit his face the moment he stepped off, and a light scent of fresh fruit filled the air around him. His stomach grumbled and for the first time in the last 18 hours he realized he was starved. ___________________________________________________ Sophie felt her body relax as the plane came to a complete stop. This was the first time she took a plane; she didn't realize until the plane was no longer touching the ground that she was terrified for her life. Every bad ending that could have happened had ran through her head. She slowly let out a breath and stood up, waiting for her chance to step into the isle and get off the plane. She only had one bag and she was able to bring on as a carry-on bag. Tossing it over her right shoulder, she quickly exited the plane, warmly greated the sun above and ground under her feet.

Elena pulled her curly hair into a loose ponytail, already feeling the heat bare down on her. No one said it would be this warm. Letting out a small laughed as one of her girlfriends grabbed her hand and tugged, she went along with her towards the resort, which was realitively close. _______________________________________________________ Theo rolled his shoulders when he was outside, bag tossed over his shoulder. His long strides made it easy to reach the resort. Oh, he hoped this would be as good as he planned it to be.

_____________________________________________________ It seemed to Derek that everyone was headed towards the same Hotel. He turned down a dirt path that lead in the opposite direction; duffel bag hitting his side with every stride. The path bent down the way and lead Derek to a white sand beach. A smile spread across his face as he found nobody seemed to be on the beach yet. Picking up his pace, he found his way to the cabin just on the edge of the beach. Stepping inside he was greeted happily by a woman with long lush black hair.
_____________________________________________________ Sophie couldn't help but smile as she watched an older couple hold onto each other as the walked slowly towards the hotel before them. I wonder if they are celebrating their 50th anniversary, she thought to herself. A sudden burst of laughter pulled her attention away from the couple and off towards a brick building. The neon sign flashed open and a group of people shuffled out the front door, and Sophie knew exactly what she wanted to do first after she unpacked her things.

Elena checked into her room, dropping her stuff on the bed in her room. Finally. She got where she wanted to be because of her friends. Laughing, she spun around and dropped onto the bed. What should she do? The beach first, obviously, while waiting for her friends to arrive. She tugged off her clothes and put on her bathing suit, and a loose t-shirt over that with shorts. Then she head out back to the water from the sliding door in her room. _________________________________________________ Theo checked into his room, before heading back out. Oh, he could use a drink or two in his system.

_____________________________________________________ “Have a wonderful evening Mr. Hills,” the young woman at the check-in counter called out to Derek. He waved back, tossing her a sly smile before stepping outside. It was already 3:25 p.m. but still enough time to find something relaxing to do. Derek pulled his phone out of his back pocket and held the power button down. He didn't want anything to ruin his first day of vacation. Shoving his hands in his pockets, he strolled down the sidewalk. The soft evening breeze played across his skin and pulled him towards a luau. His eyes got big and his stomach grumbled loudly. Set up in front of him, right in the middle of the beach, was a seemingly endless buffet. Luau girls danced to the soft beat of the drum and tiki torches lite the slowly darkening beach. _____________________________________________________ Sophie dropped her beg onto the bed. Falling back onto the lush sheets of the oversized bed, she closed her eyes and let her mind slip away for a few brief moments. After a moment, she stood up and got undressed. Taking a shower and scrubbing off the sleep that clung to her through the whole plane ride. Dressing up in her short denim skirt and vibrant pink strapless top. She pulled on her black stilettos and did her make-up. She let her hair down and checked herself over before stepping out of her room. It didn't take long for her to make her way over to the bar she had seen previously. The moment she stepped inside she could feel the adrenalin kicking in. This is what I need. She told herself as she made her way over to the bar.

Elena was quickly pulled in by the natives. They put a lei around her neck, as well as a matching flower crown. A laugh left her lips, and she thanked them greatly, only to rewarded with smiles. She could get used to this. Everyone was so nice-- it was almost like a paradise. She got a drink. Crushed and blended ice that was flavoured like strawberry with a kick of alcohol. Oh, yes, she could learn to love this. _________________________________________________________ Theo got joined by some of his mates, clapping him on the back with a union of laughter. They all urged forward to the bar, again chatting about the girls. Theo made a remark about if these guys got any girls, which got a lot of playful protest. Before they knew it, they were all play-fighting; Theo getting one of his friends into a headlock.

_____________________________________________________ Derek didn't wait another second. Making his way over to the tables piled with food, he grabbed up a plate and started serving himself. Ribs saturated in BBQ sauce, chicken with a light lemon squeezes over it, three different types of pasta, and a fresh hot roll all toppled on his plate. Looking around, he made his way over to a log nestled in the sand next to a giant fire. Sitting down he started to dig in, his mouth already watering with anticipation.
_____________________________________________________ Sophie found herself gawking at the group of guys that stumbled into the bar. She knew she was being rude and that she should look away but she couldn't help herself. It was apparent to her that these guys were close friends, and it left Sophie feeling empty and alone. The thought of all the friends she thought she once had twisted her gut. They left her the moment things started getting rocky. Averting her eyes, she picked up her slippery nipple and took another long drink. The thumping of the club music ran up Sophie's spin and urged her to dance. Repressing the sudden longing to, she tapped her foot to the beat instead.

Member Posts: 42 | Elena almost couldn't breather because of her laughing. She found herself dancing with some of the locals, who took a liking to her and wanted to teach her some. Only Elena could laugh at her mistakes-- but it was ridiculously fun. After awhile, she had to sit down on a log to catch her breath, taking a sip of her ice cold drink. The fire near by didn't help her cool down, but the sinking sun didn't make her all that worried. She flashed a smile at the boy who sat across from her, out of friendliness. _____________________________________________________ Once he was claimed the victor, he let go of the guy, giving nows here and there. He also sent a smile at the girl he'd seen giving them looks. It was a vacation. He didn't mind looking like an idiot here.

_____________________________________________________ Derek smiled back at the girl who had been dancing with the hula girls. She looked like she was really enjoying himself, and it nearly got Derek interested in dancing. He would have too, if he hadn't been so hungry. As soon as the last morsel left his plate, a man took it from him and replaced it with a thing of fruit. Derek's smile reached from ear to ear as he looked over all the color in his hands. They cut a pineapple in half and carved it into a bowl and filled it with a verity of fresh fruit. “This is amazing!” He beamed as he popped a grape into his mouth. _____________________________________________________ She could feel her face turn red as she received a smile from one of the guys she had been watching. Sophie ordered a shot from the bartender and immediately downed it. “Hit me,” she said again. Watching as he filled the little glass up with a golden liquid. She popped three more shots in her mouth before standing up and making her way out to the dance floor.

Member Posts: 42 | She burst out into laughter at his reaction to his food, but didn't say something in the fear of being rude. Instead, so downed her drink. Before it was immediately taken away and replaced. She pulled a face. Oh gosh, she had no choice if she was going to be drunk or not that night. __________________________________________________________ Hitting all those shots and then going dancing didn't seem like the smartest idea, but what was he supposed to do? Right after she left, he was tugged to the bar table. Where everyone demanded beer-- why beer, he didn't know, it was a simple drink.

_____________________________________________________ Derek wrinkled his nose and stuck his tongue out at the girl who had giggled at him. He noticed her watching him and knew her laugh was directed towards his excitement over the fresh fruit. After he ate all the fruit setting inside the bowl like pineapple he shoved his face in and began gnawing on the sweet juices of the perfectly ripe pineapple. Setting it down he cleaned off his face with one of the napkins and leaned back in his chair with a groan. "God I'm stuffed.." _____________________________________________________ At first Sophie felt completely stable on the dance floor. The music ran from her feet up her hips to her shoulders and back down. Men and women dancing around her, all shaking to the beat of the drum. Then the alcohol kicked in. She bumped into one woman and nearly took out a couple behind her. For a moment she thought she was going to land face first on the ground but a man grabbed her by the hips and pulled her back to her feet. He spun her around in his arms and laughed softly into her ear saying soft pick up lines as he swayed her back and forth across the floor. Sophie suddenly felt every nerve ignight in fear, he wknew tths guy was trouble.

"Yeah, you tend to feel like crap when you stuff your face," Elena called to him, scrunching her nose when he stuck her tongue at her. So rude. Running a hand through her hair, she turned away from him to look at the dancers. ___________________________________________________________________________ Trouble obviously had to happen. Theo didn't notice at first, it wasn't his job to look after her or care for that matter. But when his friends dragged him to the dance floor, it was a bit hard to ignore her look. Without a word, he gripped the guy by the shoulder and gently urged him away from the girl. Even though he didn't even bother looking at her-- again, he didn't care, he didn't know her. But it didn't mean he didn't realize when someone was being a creep.

_____________________________________________________ Derek set his drink down getting ready to shoot a comment back to the obnoxious girl, when the next thing he knew he was being pulled up out of his seat. Being positioned by a guy, to stand next to a man in a grass skirt juggling balls of fire, Derek's eyes widened. “That's bad-ass..,” he laughed. The guy that pulled Derek out of his seat handed him a ball. Looking down at it, Derek squished it and looked back at the balls on fire flying through the air. A warm liquid substance was running down his arm, and he looked down to see the man was dumping some type of liquid all over the ball and his hands. Fuck no. “Don't tell me you plan on making me juggle fire too,” his tone half joking because he was almost sure he was misunderstanding the situation. “Yes.” “What?! No. I can't juggle fire. You have to be a professional.” The man only laughed and shook his head. The juggler leaned over and whispered, “Don't think, just juggle.” Derek's jaw dropped, and if you thought his eyes couldn't get bigger, they were about ready to pop out of his head when he saw the man light a match. The ball in his hand went up in flames and Derek immediately through it up into the air. He felt safe until it started coming back down towards him. He held his breath, caught the ball, and quickly threw it back up. The man clapped and the juggle gave Derek a wink. After a couple of minutes two more balls were tossed in and Derek was juggling just like the guy next to him. The adrenalin was kicking in and he started dancing to the music as he juggled the flaming balls. ______________________________________________________ Sophie watched as the guy backed off from her and it took her brain a minute to process what was going on. She looked over at the guy she had noticed earlier and attempted to give thanks. Instead though, a jumble of nonsense spewed out. Feeling her cheeks flush in embarrassment, she stumbled off the dance floor. Trying hard to keep the floor from spinning she made it to the door in once piece. Leaning against the door frame, she squinted in an attempt to see further down the road. Letting out a long breath, she put one foot in front of the other as she gradually made her way for the hotel.

Member Posts: 42 | This got her attention back on him, giving the group a confused look. What were those doing with the rude guy? Then she saw the fire. Shit. That wasn't exactly safe, was it? He wasn't trained at all- but he handled it like a pro. A laugh escaped her lips as the man danced, not seeming as worried about the flaming balls in his hands as much. She clapped for them. ______________________________________________________________________ Theo watched as the girl scrambled out of the crowd and headed to the door, raising his eyebrows as he stumbled. Strange.

_____________________________________________________ Derek stepped back and the other juggler reached out and caught the balls. The other guy handed Derek a wash cloth and Derek used it to clean off the liquid on his hands and arms. Walking back to his seat, he grabbed up his drink owned it only to be replaced with another. He drank the new one slower then the last, body cooling down. _____________________________________________________ Sophie found her stepping getting straighter as she walked down the sidwalk getting closer to the hotel. Looking down at the ground as she went, she noticed the sand speckling the grey concret. I wonder how much sand gets up here from the beach.. she thought to herself.

Member Posts: 42 | Elena gave him an amused smile. "How the hell did you do that?" she asked. "The juggling, I mean. Sorry, you don't exactly look like the juggler type." _______________________________________________________________________ Theo would have followed her to make sure she was okay, but didn't want to come off a creep. A unexplained worry crawled up his spine. Would she be okay? Sighing, he pushed through the crowds and stepped out the door. Just a air break, that's it, he convinced himself. And while he was at it, he could make sire she got to the hotel without moving.
